Tyler Reese and Elisa Fiorillo
“2Funk”
Tyler Reese and Elisa Fiorillo were initially brought together in 2014, to record a duet album project with Jeff Silverman at the helm as producer, called Dease & Reese – Life In 20. The vocal version of 2 Funk, called “A Momma Who Knows How 2 Funk” was later revamped by Tyler on his 2016 album entitled Reminiscence.
During that time, Elisa was living in LasVegas so since Tyler was living in Nashville, we were able to close the gap during the entire recording project and process by having Elisa on VSN, online streaming real time audio while watching and participating via SKYPE whenever she felt the need to “chime in”.
During that same time, Elisa was touring as a featured singer / backing vocalist for Prince on his his NPG tour so that’s how we met Nashville’s Roy Agee. Roy is also an incredible local Nashville talent, played Trombone, wrote the horn arrangement and put together 2 of Nashville’s finest horn players. Left to right… Roy Agee, Vinnie Ciesielski and Tyler Summer, recording here at Palette (MSP) studio! Matthew Burgess played Drums and percussion on the Dease & Reese project and Toby Fairchild played drums on the Reminiscence album with Matthew playing percussion.
in 2016, Jeff and Tyler received an HMMA (Hollywood Music and Media Awards) Nomination for Best Producer / Production for “2Funk” and another Nomination for his song, “Movin’ On”. Since then, Tyler’s album “Reminiscence” has:
- Debuted at #5 BILLBOARD – Contemporary Jazz Album
- #12 BILLBOARD – Best Jazz Album
- Top 50 (Fusion) – JazzWeek Jazz
Dease & Reese – “Life in 20” was produced, mixed and mastered by Jeff Silverman and “Reminiscence” was engineered, mixed and mastered by Jeff and produced by Jeff and Tyler. More info on both albums:
